About the shop

Cauldron of Knowledge is us, in Shrewsbury, clearing a private esoteric library that got out of hand.

These are used books from a smoke-free, pet-free household. Most copies are very good, or only lightly read. A previous owner's name, a softened spine, a pencil mark in the margin; that is the nature of a shelf that has been lived with.

We ship within the United Kingdom only.

Condition

Unless a book page says otherwise, expect a clean, very good copy. Not shop-new. Not a wreck.

If a particular copy has something worth flagging (a dedication, a cracked hinge, heavy annotation) we will say so on that page.

Returns

These are private sales of used books, sold as seen.

We do not offer a change-of-mind returns policy. Once a book has gone to a new home, it stays there.

If we sent the wrong title, or a parcel arrives wrecked, write to us using the address on your order email. We will put that right.
